STACKED BOOKS
The purpose of this project was to explore the concept of the center of mass. In this project, we stacked books together to achieve the maximum overhang from the edge of the table.
During the project, I discovered if you consider the center of mass well and keep on stacking more books, there is no limit on the height. I also discovered that each overhang measurement follows the harmonic series in math. Center of mass is the middle of a 3-dimensional object in terms of density and mass. This project was related to the concept of center of mass because after we had learnt what center of mass was, we were able to stack books more accurately and efficiently.
